heyAstra is an AI receptionist platform. SMS messages are sent only to callers who have provided explicit verbal consent during a recorded phone conversation with our AI assistant.

Who Receives SMS Messages
heyAstra is a B2B platform used by businesses (medical practices, salons, real-estate offices, home-services companies, etc.) to staff their phone lines with an AI receptionist. The recipients of SMS messages from heyAstra are callers who have phoned a heyAstra-equipped business and, during that recorded call, have verbally agreed to receive a follow-up text message.
heyAstra does not initiate cold outreach. We do not import contact lists. We do not message anyone who has not first called and consented during the call.
How Consent Is Captured
Every heyAstra AI receptionist follows a strict consent protocol coded directly into its system prompt. Before any SMS is sent, the AI assistant says the following script aloud during the call:
"Would it be okay if I sent you a quick text confirmation to this number? You'll be able to reply STOP at any time to opt out, and standard message and data rates may apply."
The AI proceeds only if the caller answers with a clear affirmative ("yes," "sure," "okay," etc.). If the caller declines, hesitates, or asks a question, no SMS is sent.
After consent is granted, the AI confirms with:
"Great — you'll get a text from us shortly. Reply HELP if you have any questions, or STOP to unsubscribe."
Audit Trail
All consent is captured in:
- Call recordings — every consent exchange is preserved in audio.
- Call transcripts — searchable text records of every conversation.
- Call logs — timestamp, caller phone number, and outcome.
Recordings and transcripts are retained for at least 12 months and available for carrier audit on request.

Program Description: Appointment confirmations, business address/hours, quote summaries, and follow-up details sent only to callers who verbally consented during a recorded AI call.
Message Frequency: Typically 1–2 messages per consented call. No recurring or marketing traffic.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
Carriers: All major U.S. carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular).
Types of Messages
- Appointment confirmations — date, time, and location of a booked appointment.
- Business information — address, hours, or other details requested during the call.
- Quote / estimate summaries — pricing details discussed on the call.
- Follow-up details — anything specifically requested by the caller during the conversation.
heyAstra never sends promotional, marketing, or third-party advertising messages.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of heyAstra SMS messages at any time:
- Reply STOP to any heyAstra text message.
- Email support@heyastra.is with subject line "SMS Opt-Out."
After opting out, you receive one final confirmation text and no further messages unless you re-subscribe by replying START.

Data Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Phone numbers and consent records are excluded from any third-party data sharing. They are used solely to deliver the messages the caller requested.
